Week 7 - Bed, Walls and Garage Partition
We have a bed! (sort of) The slats arrived and have been all fixed in. I'm happy to report that they slide perfectly, though with some weight and warping due to moisture, they may change, but there's a plan for addressing that.
More of the walls are also in now and more carpet around the side door and headliner (soon to be a cupboard). I managed to get the back doors carpeted on one of the dry days as well and the rear curtain rail is also in.
There’s also the cab floor almost done and the bulkhead surrounds are coming on. Also the bedside cupboards now have their shelf and push to open doors installed.
The garage is now boxed in too and most of the wall sockets and battery to battery charger all hooked up.
We're hoping to get the rest of the walls, blanket cupboard and electrics done this week before taking a break over Christmas.
I also had a test run of digital nomad style remote working Friday and all the electrics worked a treat… though a lower powered kettle is needed to not overload the inverter! 1000W kettle now on order, it's an important bit of kit to have as I'm sure any Brit will agree!
